We set a Honda WH20 pump at the water's edge, drafted straight from the lake, and ran Ace Fire Defense hose up the hillside to a home that sits about 40 feet above the water. Then we opened the nozzle at the top. Watch it for yourself:

What Happened
The WH20 primed, pulled water from the lake and pushed it up the hill. At the top, 40 feet above the pump, the nozzle delivered a strong, steady stream with real reach. That is the whole point: when a wind-driven fire throws embers at your home, you need water where you are standing, not at the bottom of the hill.
