I have not pressurized, but this hose appears to be very good quality. Time will tell.

Like so many in California, we live on the wildland interface, which is constantly under threat of fire. We’re lucky to have fire hydrants in our neighborhood and we’ve considered getting some hose, nozzles and tools for that “just in case” situation where things are so bad the fire department is delayed arriving (it’s happened before within a couple of miles from here). The goal is to just keep any fire at bay long enough for the fire department to get here and save the house and outbuildings that otherwise may have caught fire.

I’m no firefighter, but I can read, operate a fire hydrant, and hook up hose and nozzle to get water on areas where embers might start a blaze. If I never have to use this equipment, I’ll consider myself lucky. But, if I need it, I have it. It could easily be the difference between a standing house or one of many burned out lots in the subdivision.

The quality of Ace’s products are more than sufficient for this use case, without paying 1.5x to 3x the price for gear sold to fire fighters for more frequent use. We tested the equipment on our local hydrant that the water company reports is at 130 psi with no issue.

I’m a retired firefighter with 34 years of experience. My home is susceptible to wild land fires. Fortunately, I have a fire hydrant 200 feet from my house. I bought several sections of hose and nozzles to protect the house in the event of a fire. The quality of the products is on the light duty side, but is perfectly acceptable for occasionally use. The Los Angeles fires were a wake up call. I looked at my own home with a more critical eye and realized how much combustible material I had on or near my house. Now that the exterior of my house has been tidied up along with the addition of fire hose and nozzles, as well as goggles and gloves, and a nomex hood. I feel much more prepared if something should blow through. Be careful and pick your battles. I could have scrounged older hoes from my former fire department, but I did not feel it was worth the risk, older hoes can fail without notice. My neighborhood is situated in such a way if everything goes to shit and I have to run for my life I have many safe areas of refuge.

Thankfully I have not had to put out a fire yet, but this hose seems to be of a high quality, and it looks like the connections to the nozzle and to the plumbing fitting can be made quickly and accurately, with out leaks. The material of the hose seems to be of a high quality. Having this (along with the nozzle and plumbing to necessary) brings me peace of mind, since my house is located in a rural area where the response time for the fire department is long enough to where nothing can really be done, aside from protecting neighboring structures, once they arrive.

It comes very clean, nice packaging protecting it from any bumps. I was very impressed with how clean and strong it is. It works very nicely for our fire protection. We have lots of fire equipment including 2 fire engines, thousands of feet of hose lines, many nozzles and have always been impressed with ACE materials. They are dependable, work well and also very reasonably priced. Well made hose with brass couplings.

Replaced a sump pump with a bigger much more capable unit. Now the biggest restriction was the size of the hose. In this case, basically the size of a standard garden hose. Looking for a larger diameter hose, someone recommended using a fire hose. This really fit the bill with the right size, a manageable length and the durability needed for the job.

Durable hose, easy to use.

If you have the high power pump for these hoses, you've got a winning setup. Hoses look to be very strong and long lasting. Connectors are brass and look tight and strong. No leaks in the hose upon setting them up. Looking to put a fire out, these will fit the bill. Great value for your money.

Works as advertised, does the job well.

These firehoses by ACE, are the real deal within the 1.5-inch category. With its brass plated aluminum fittings, strong, durable Polyester, Polyurethane structure and 250 PSI abilities, this is a competent choice to consider. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.

I. Quality – These hoses feel like very good quality materials that should endure the abuse of their intended activities.
II. I. Performance – They work well and do the job effectively, but will need an adapter to reduce the water from 2.5 inches to 1.5 inches if attaching to the more standard water source size of 2.5 inches. There are a lot of available nozzles for you complete the package that work great, just make sure you pick NST/NH for both so the threads fit.

Overall, this is a great quality and performing fire hose that will attach well and hold the pressure, so you can worry about what in front of you instead of what’s in your hand. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems.

These are really nice hoses! The fabric feels super tough & durable, and the couplings are solid as a rock. All that said, they're not heavy to pickup and use, so it's a great balance of strength and manageable weight.

My warehouse is in a row of suites, but the water line is thankfully right outside of our unit. Love that I could, if needed, connect both of the hoses together to make a 150' line, as our 10,000 SF warehouse would need that length to reach the front office portion from the water hookup near the loading docks.

This is an inexpensive way to at least stand a better chance of fighting a fire that calls for more than an extinguisher before it destroys $1M worth of inventory while we wait for the actual fire department to arrive.

Really nice hose quality and fittings. Rolls back easily into compact size.
For a 75' hose at this capacity/capability, it rolls back very compact... Would fit into a 2'x2' square at only about 2" tall (not exact measurements). Very convenient.
For people who have gas powered water pumps, this would add nicely to your kit. For people near hydrants, adapters may be required.
Overall, just a nice product. Glad to have to these, especially during hot dry months and around fireworks seasons.

this is a great hose that is not standard hose style. these have thicker brass ends and would be ideal for utility pumps or trash pumps. very nice and durable material and 75ft length hose.

I picked up a few of these for draining one pond into another.
I have not had an opportunity to test out this hose in the real world yet.
My initial thoughts when looking at it is, well made.
The fittings are nice and have a nice finish.
The hose itself is free from any obvious defects..
After I have a chance to use I will be sure to update.

I was so impressed right away with everything about these hoses. They are proper hoses and well made. The couplings are solid and the threads are good. I haven’t tested the water pressure This is one of those things you hope you never have to use but will glad you had it on hand if ever needed.
